Our Design Problem as Team 22 was to find a solution for an International Airport Baggage Handling System. This solution was highly accurate, time-efficient, low-cost, and easy to implement. The goal was to reduce incorrectly managed and lost cargo, something that was becoming a bigger concern over time. The unique problem statement was to draft a mechanism that could handle luggage from one platform to another while remaining within defined spatial constraints.

Our innovative design features a gear-driven arm powered by a rotary actuator for mechanical leverage. The system includes a carefully angled ramp for smooth luggage transfer, all controlled by a Raspberry Pi.
